Local
Organizing Committee

Dear Colleagues,
The XV Congress of the Latin American Thyroid
Society _ LATS will be held in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina -
Brazil, from March 20th to 23rd, 2013.
We will be honored to welcome you to this meeting by LATS, which has helped promote the dissemination of knowledge and new strategies in the management of thyroid diseases.
It is a privilege for the city to host this Congress and a great stimulus for the institutions to develop their research and educational programs. We are working towards making this an opportunity for scientific integration among the different medical specialties involved.
Florianópolis is an island city, capital of the state of Santa Catarina and a great tourism destination in southern Brazil. There is good shopping and the local cuisine is quite interesting. It is a place surrounded by nature, which enables the practice of many sports such as surfing and sand boarding, making it a colorful place where the environment and the local culture are well preserved.
We assure you that we are doing our best for
this congress to be a successful scientific gathering and an opportunity
to make new friends and partnerships.
See you in 2013!
Sincerely,
Márcia Netto de Campos da Silva
